Today, Dad brought home a bag full of Asian nibblies. Among them were some packs of ramen noodles. I found this pack to be particularly striking:

Yes, yes, I know. It’s a Hindu or Buddhist swastika, not the Nazi form. But I’m pretty sure the noodles would be banned in Germany in one way or another. And yes, I just Godwined my blog. Ah well — it was fun while it lasted.

Unix-like boxen (including Linux and Mac OS X) around the world just had their internal dates pass 1234567890!

This means 1234567890 seconds have passed since 12:00AM, January 1, 1970, which is the date that, as far as Unix is concerned, the universe began.

Nautilus easter egg

I went to clear my Nautilus history just now, as it seems to remember the history of removable drives, which doesn’t make sense after you’ve ejected them. (Bug?)

When the dialog came up, I was greeted by an amusing message:

Indeed, it was an easter egg, because every other time I brought up the dialog, it displayed a normal message instead.
